WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY

 

USER PROFILE

We collect the following personal data upon Your subscription to our website, i.e. when You create User Profile on our website:

First and last name,  gender, date of birth, mailing address, e-mail address, Phone numbers, Social media accounts (if used for sign-up purpose), Identification IDs (if at all). After successful creation of User profile, Your wishlist is also available with us.

Merchant Specific Information:

First and last name,  gender, date of birth, physical address, e-mail address, Phone numbers, Tax IDs, Identification IDs, debit card/credit Card details, Account number details. Such information is needed for transaction purposes and for authenticating user for security purposes as well.

UPON COMPLETION OF PURCHASE

Upon completion  of a purchase by the User, the following personal information is stored by Ecular:

  • Debit/Credit Card/account number details (the name, number of the Card excluding CVV number) Details of e-wallet if used for the purpose of making the payment for the purchase. Purchase and logistic details for customer support

USER INFORMATION

Information is collected when the User comments/rates a product/purchase. The following is also collected and stored by Ecular:

  • Purchase history (date, time, size, complaints) (stored in the profile of the User) Ratings and Comments on purchases, Items marked as “favourites”

VISIBILITY OF YOUR DATA

When User comments/rates a product, only the User’s Name, date of comment, and product against which the comment is posted shall be visible to public. Any other purchase related information shall not be visible to the public.

VISITOR INFORMATION

Information is collected from visitors’ comments on the site, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from Your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if You are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of Your comment, Your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of Your comment.

INFORMATION FROM THIRD PARTY API INTEGRATED APPS

Users or visitors may register with Ecular using third party application such as Facebook, Google mail. Once the User opts for registration using third party app, all information relating to the User such as mail id is stored by Ecular and all communications are router through that e-mail. We hereby undertake that all such information collected through third party API shall solely be used for the purpose of providing our service to You.

We do not share Your activity on Ecular on any Social Media Website however You may share Your activity on Ecular on social media websites which are connected to Your Ecular account. The permission granted to Ecular to access details of Your social media account can be revoked at any time Your social media account settings.

AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF DATA

Personal data  may  also be generated from technical processes, functioning of cookies and collection of IP address of visitors to the website for the convenience of the visitor.

If Your data is saved in Your browser then Ecular shall not be able to control it and shall not be responsible for any loss arising out of saving such information

 

Media

In case User decides to upload pictures (in the review section), it shall be on the sole prerogative of the User and be aware of the fact that the uploaded image would be visible public and hence the user must take care of its own privacy.

Note: If You upload images to the website, You should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

CONTACT FORMS

By default, Ecular does not include a contact form. If You use a contact form plugin, all relevant personal data is captured when You  submit  a contact form, and how long You keep it. For example, You may note that we  keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but we  do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

 

COOKIES

If You leave a comment on our site You may opt to save Your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for Your convenience so that You do not have to fill in Your details again when You leave another comment.

  1. Cloud-based service Providers: Information is shared with the Website Administrator and other third party cloud based service providers who are covered under non-disclosure agreements with Ecular.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
