This Privacy Policy of (“Ecular” or “We” or “Us” or “Our/our”) contains how we deal with the information we receive through our website about the people (“User” “You”, “Your” or “Yours”) who visit/use our website(s). We store Your personal data for the purpose of smooth functioning of the system, and User convenience as well. Ecular is committed to the protection of the information that You may provide to us while using our website (“Confidential Information”). We acknowledge that privacy of personal information is one of the basic fundamental rights and hence through this policy we intend to be transparent regarding collection, storage, and maintenance of Your personal data. Ecular also ensures its Users that adequate measures will be taken to maintain and updated security features to protect all Personal Information against unauthorized access or disclosure.





We collect the following personal data upon Your subscription to our website, i.e. when You create User Profile on our website:

First and last name,  gender, date of birth, mailing address, e-mail address, Phone numbers, Social media accounts (if used for sign-up purpose), Identification IDs (if at all). After successful creation of User profile, Your wishlist is also available with us.

Merchant Specific Information:

First and last name,  gender, date of birth, physical address, e-mail address, Phone numbers, Tax IDs, Identification IDs, debit card/credit Card details, Account number details. Such information is needed for transaction purposes and for authenticating user for security purposes as well.



Upon completion  of a purchase by the User, the following personal information is stored by Ecular:

  • Debit/Credit Card/account number details (the name, number of the Card excluding CVV number) Details of e-wallet if used for the purpose of making the payment for the purchase. Purchase and logistic details for customer support




Information is collected when the User comments/rates a product/purchase. The following is also collected and stored by Ecular:

  • Purchase history (date, time, size, complaints) (stored in the profile of the User) Ratings and Comments on purchases, Items marked as “favourites”



When User comments/rates a product, only the User’s Name, date of comment, and product against which the comment is posted shall be visible to public. Any other purchase related information shall not be visible to the public.



Information is collected from visitors’ comments on the site, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from Your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if You are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of Your comment, Your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of Your comment.



Users or visitors may register with Ecular using third party application such as Facebook, Google mail. Once the User opts for registration using third party app, all information relating to the User such as mail id is stored by Ecular and all communications are router through that e-mail. We hereby undertake that all such information collected through third party API shall solely be used for the purpose of providing our service to You.

We do not share Your activity on Ecular on any Social Media Website however You may share Your activity on Ecular on social media websites which are connected to Your Ecular account. The permission granted to Ecular to access details of Your social media account can be revoked at any time Your social media account settings.



Personal data  may  also be generated from technical processes, functioning of cookies and collection of IP address of visitors to the website for the convenience of the visitor.

If Your data is saved in Your browser then Ecular shall not be able to control it and shall not be responsible for any loss arising out of saving such information



In case User decides to upload pictures (in the review section), it shall be on the sole prerogative of the User and be aware of the fact that the uploaded image would be visible public and hence the user must take care of its own privacy.

Note: If You upload images to the website, You should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


By default, Ecular does not include a contact form. If You use a contact form plugin, all relevant personal data is captured when You  submit  a contact form, and how long You keep it. For example, You may note that we  keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but we  do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.



If You leave a comment on our site You may opt to save Your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for Your convenience so that You do not have to fill in Your details again when You leave another comment.

If You visit Our login page, We will set a temporary cookie to determine if Your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when You close Your browser.

  1. Payment gateway partner: Payment related Personal Data (account number/e-wallet details) is shared with Payment Gateway Partner solely for the purpose of processing of payments and refunds.


  1. Logistics Partner: Address and contact details of the User is sent to the logistics partner for delivery of products.


  1. Cloud-based service Providers: Information is shared with the Website Administrator and other third party cloud based service providers who are covered under non-disclosure agreements with Ecular.


  1. Analytics Information: We use data analytics software to ensure Ecular Website and App functionality and to improve the Services. This software records information such as how often You use the Website, faults/virus/bugs within the Website, usage & performance data.



We retain User Information for as long as Your account is active. Your information may also be retained after deactivation of Your account for carrying out legal obligations such as for the purpose of taxation and other compliance purposes.

You may write to us checking if we have retained any personal information after deactivation of Your account, we will share all the retained personal data and mention the purpose for which it is retained.

If You leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time present in their profile (except they cannot change their username). All data is visible to the Website administrators as well and they do not edit or delete data unless requested/updated by the User.
